Haul: New Look

Friday, 5 September 2014

Now that I'm a working woman with a flow of money into my bank account I've found myself internet shopping a lot more. And the problem I have is that I can't buy just one or two items. For example, in this order I spent originally £300 on 20+ items. Somebody needs to lock my bank card up and throw away the key. Although, thankfully for my allowance I do always intend on sending the majority back. Does anyone else do this or am I just awful at making decisions and cutting down those 30 items in my basket to 10?!

Anyway, thankfully I was disappointed with most of my order so I ended up buying just these 7 items. The boots featured on my Autumn Wishlist and I know they're not going to come off my feet throughout autumn, I've been after a few dresses which I can wear in the winter with some tights and boots and both of these checked numbers will be ideal! Finally, I fell into the monochrome trap and got 3 tops too. I love the floral one with the hint of neon yellow in it and the ribbed neck gives it a sport luxe vibe.

You'll also notice that I've had a bit of a blog make-over! I've got a new design as well as a domain - you'll now find me at lucy-cole.co.uk rather than lucycole.blogspot.com! What do you think?

MIDI DRESS & CORAL JUMPER - INTERNACIONALE // BURGANDY JUMPER - PRIMARK // JEANS - TOPSHOP // BLACK & WHITE CARDIGAN - H&M // FACE WASH - SUPERDRUG

A while back I had a real urge to go on spending spree as now I have a reason to always buy clothes - sixth form! I'm actually surpised how I managed to get all of this for just under £60 (not including the jeans)!! I particularly wanted some more knitwear because who doesn't love cosy jumpers/cardigans?! I bought a black midi dress from Internacionale for only £15 - they're super easy to wear and perfect for those 'cba' days! I also got a coral three quarter sleeve jumper for the same price - I picked it up instantly because it's very similar to topshop's and coral is my colour! I deffo needed some more colour in my wardrobe too. The burgandy jumper is from Primark for a mere £8 - I wanted some other colours but none were particularly nice and this colour is my all time fave to wear for autumn! I finally got mself a big knit cardigan from H&M for £20 - It's zip up rather than buttoned but I loved the mixed knit of it. The jeans are the Joni Jeans from topshop - I'm deffo going to live in jeans this winter so decided it's probably best to get another colour. Finally, the face wash was to replace my exfoliate scrub from body shop which has run out!

SPOTTED TOP, CROP TEE'S, SHORTS, BLOUSE & FLOWER CROWN AND HEADBAND - PRIMARK // BRACELET & JEANS - TOPSHOP // BLOUSES - NEW LOOK // WEDGES - H&M

Another haul!! As you guys know from a previous post, I went to Westfield last Tuesday with mum to spend some of my Birthday money!
I didn't really buy that much when you think about it, most of it is Primark goodies! I have two basic crop tees which always come in handy, som cute print shorts for holiday, a slightly smarter spotty top (I must have a thing for spots at the moment, I bought a spotted top from the topshop sale last week!), a blouse which I debated over getting when it first came into the Ipswich store, and two floral headbands, one on elastic so I can wear it around a bun and one on an alice band. These are so pretty and I can't wait to rock them on Holiday!! From Topshop my mum bought me the Joni jeans as I got some for my birthday which were unfortunately too small! I also got the matching bracelet to the necklace I got in the topshop sale.. it's just too pretty!! I bought some more basics from New Look, some simple baggy cami's, I'm not sure what material these are but they look so elegant and just gorgeous with some shorts or jeans! Finally was favourite purchase, the wedges from H&M! I am so in love with this and was super happy when they fitted my abnormally skinny feet. I got them to wear for the wedding I'm off to in a few weeks!

Buying all of this stuff is definitely a big acheivement for me! I'm one of those shoppers that adores new clothes but has to think if they really, really need it before they spend. I hate spending money, regardless of whether I have a lot of it or not! What kind of shopper are you?

Revision free haul!

Saturday, 29 June 2013

As mentioned in my OOTD post on Monday, recently I popped to town for a well needed shopping spree. I hadn't been shopping in something ridiculous like 5 to 6 weeks! It's safe to say I was shopping deprived!! Here's what i got..

CROP TOP, NECKLACE & RINGS - TOPSHOP // HEART RING - RIVER ISLAND // FOUNDATIONBLUSH & LIPSTICK - SUPERDRUG

I was super happy to find out the sales were on and I managed to pick up some beauties from Topshop, the crop top cost me only £8 and it was something I originally wanted when it was first released! I am a massive of Topshop jewellery but I'm a girl who would rather buy clothes than accessories and can never justify Topshops prices, so whenever theres a sale I'm straight to the jewellery stand! I first picked up these lovely simple coloured rings which come in silver, gold, rose gold and black, but for some reason the black one is way smaller than the rest! The other thing I picked up was this gorgeous necklace, it's a beautiful neon orangy pink rose with crystals and spikes. I also got a cute thumb ring from River Island, although I'll probably wear it as a normal ring!

Onto beauty, the main thing I went into superdrug to get was the much raved about Bourjous foundation! I also wanted to try out the cream blushes so I picked up one of those in Nude Velvet and lucky for me Bourjous were having 3 for 2 so I picked up a lipstick in Shade 10. It's a super bright red with a hint of orange in it, I'm not a massive lippy fan and this is way too bright for me, so it's definitely one that I'll just prance around the house in pretending to be Marilyn Monroe until I'm able to apply it properly and look average! I then went to boots and picked up another pair of fake eyelashes and a La Roche Posay Moisteriser. I'm not 100% sure on what one it is, only that it helps with redness! I realised as I went to find the link for this that I picked up a different one to the one I had planned to get! Oops! None the less, I'm loving it at the moment! Finally I got a Garnier Make-up remover and toner as they were on two for one! I've heard a lot of good things about the make-up remover so of course I had to give it a go myself!

Would you like to see any reviews on these things?
