Once again, my blog has been abandoned for quite some time. My first term of uni was much harder than I had ever anticipated and my main focus hasn't been on blogging. I'm hoping the second time around is going to be a bit easier, and coupled with less contact hours in my timetable I can find a bit more room to give my blog the love it once had! 

I've enjoyed my month off and uni and snapped these pictures up at the weekend before I left yesterday to head back to my little room in my lovely flat. As you can see I've kept with the shorter hair - I'm still really loving it! I've also added a little bit more blonde in there too, because we all know - blondes have more fun. Despite being a student I managed to treat myself over the holidays with this top from primark, and these boots from asos. I'm loving the really muted/dull colours of grey, khaki and black at the moment - maybe it's something to do with this cold weather!

Hopefully this isn't the last you'll see of me and I'll be getting some more content up soon..

Lots of happy things in the last few weeks. I'm still sticking it out at uni, finally finding my feet, got onto the netball squad and celebrated a whole year with Jamie. I am a very happy girl.

Goodbye nice blog photo backgrounds.. This is the first outfit post I've done since moving in at university despite being here 4 weeks already. This ravishing fire door is now going to be a regular on my blog!! A couple of weeks ago there was a student night in the city centre so I headed in and got this top along with a few other goodies at bargain prices! I love the mustardy colour and it's going to be such a staple peice in my wardrobe to dress up and down. Today I chose to dress is down with my beloved ripped jeans and slip on trainers.

Review: VEET Easy Wax ROLL ON KIT

Veet Easy Wax Electrical Roll On Kit*

When it comes to hair removal, waxing scares me. A lot. I am petrified of the pain it appears to bring, but I decided to bite the bullet and agree to give the Veet Easywax Roll On Kit a try.

The veet roll on kit gives women like you and me the chance to give waxing a go at home. I let my leg hair grow out, admittedly probably not quite enough and set up. All you need to do in preparation for waxing with the roll on kit is allow around 20-30 minutes for the wax to heat up. Once heated up the wax has melted enough to roll onto the skin. I found this super easy - the wax was neither too cold nor too hot that it was unconfortable, it was just right. Although I did find it needed more than one layer. Once you've glided the wax on you slap a peice of the waxing paper on top and smooth it down, leaving a little bit at the bottom to get a hold of. Next is the scary part. Hold on to the skin and rip it off, the quicker the better. Although painful I think this is definitely something I could deal with doing if it means hairless legs for longer. I did struggle at first because my leg hair was so short but it definitely did the job on some patches.

Surpisingly, despite the pain, I really enjoyed my first home-waxing experience and I look forward to giving it a go when my leg hairs inevitable grow to the length similar to apes, the veet electrical roll on kit was mess free and easy. A few more rounds of pain and I'll soon be a home waxing pro.

REVIEW: Batiste Stylist XXL volume spray

Batiste XXL Volume Styling Spray - £4.29

As soon as I saw the new range of Batiste styling sprays I knew I wanted to give them a go. I live by their dry shampoo, and with always struggling to get any kind of volume in my hair I'd use their volumising dry shampoo a lot. Although nearly a fiver for a spray I'm likely to get through fairly quickly is a lot, I am so happy with the results. I spray it around my crown and roots to give my hair a bit of oomph and it works a treat! Perfect for a night out and then to give the messy look bun the day after. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the way it makes your hair feel - a bit matted, but it's something I can definitely get over. All in all, I will definitely be buying this again and again and again! Have you tried any of the other batiste stylist range?
