I'm not one to spend a lot on skincare. In fact, I try to avoid the high end brands. Currently the only slightly pricier items I have in my skincare collection is the Pixi Cleansing Balm (£18), and the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (£15) which I asked for as a gift. Looking at these now, they're not the most expensive out there, but for a student on a budget, they're not your typical Garnier Cleansing Water that will cost you a fiver and last you a lifetime.

An Autumnal lipstick I wont be using

Every now and again I come across a product I'm not too fond of. Unfortunately, the Loreal Matte Lip Paint is one of them. Autumn has rolled around and out has come the dark reds and berrys in my make-up collection. I'm not big with bold lips, but a dark red tone is surprisingly something I'm relatively happy to wear. I have two in my lippy collection already - a lovely matte one from NYX, and another from Rimmel which has a little more sheen. When I travelled back to Ipswich the other week to visit a local pumpkin patch with Jamie for the perfect Halloweeny blog photoshoot, you can imagine my despair when I realised I'd not bought either of my darker lipsticks home with me. Of course, my blog and my instagram could not possibly have all these pumpkin patch photos without a dark lip, so off I popped to Tesco for a last minute hunt for one. The Matte Lip Paint is what I picked up.

Some days we just don't have time. Those extra 15 minutes in bed are way more worthy than a full face of makeup. With that in mind, I've created the perfect 5 product face - 5 products to give a full make-up look but in half the time.

REVIEW: SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL

*play dramatic music* it's time.. the review of the holy product of the blogosphere, the soleil tan de chanel. My wonderful friends bought this for me back in the Summer and for weeks I was petrified of ruining it and using it up! I will forever be afraid of my favourite (and expensive) products running out. However, I have since used it and ruined the beautiful smooth whipped top and have been reaching for it a lot more often now the colds kicked in. I apply this after my foundation with a buffing brush and gently buff it into my cheeks to give a bit of warmth and colour. It blends with ease and isn't too orange nor too dark for my skin shade. In terms of lasting it seems to last just as long as my foundation, ideal for day to day wear. I've really been impressed with it and despite it breaking the bank at £32 I think it's a perfect 'treat yourself' gift for every woman out there!

Lucy's Make-up #5: Lips

The last of the Lucy's Make-up series! Sad times!! Bit of a sparse collection for lips, I'm not much of a lippy wearer although I am determined to change that! I'm deffo more of a subtle gloss girl that bold lip.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 003 was my first proper lipstick and I wasn't too impressed, the colour is a nudey brown, not suited to me at all and I found it to be quite drying on the lips. I really like Rimmel Apocalips in Luna, it's a lovely peachy shade with high gloss. Although it is pretty thick and sticky. I'd like to try a few other colours in this range. As you can see, I am a big fan of the Bourjois Colour Boosts. All of which are lovely colours, and I really like to mix Orange Punch and Peach on the Beach together. These give the most gorgeous amount of colour and a lovely sheen. I also like how it doesn't require you to look in a mirror when applying them like you would with a red lipstick.
