American Dream

TEE & SCRUNCHIE - PRIMARK // BELT - DADS // SHORTS* - OASAP // SHOES - OFFICE

I feel so damn American in this outfit. I wanted one of these baseball style tee's for a while and found this beauty in Primark for £6 which is perfect considering I probably wont wear it next year. You could also get away with wearing it as an oversized tee/dress if you wore a black bodycon dress underneath because it is pretty long. I went for a more vintage vibe by adding my OASAP oversized shorts, my dads old belt and a scrunchie. These photo's were so hard to take, the sun was popping in and out every second and it just wasn't going right for me. Thankfully I found a few half-ok ones.

TOP - H&M // SHORTS - ASOS // BAG - ALIXPRESS // SHOES - OFFICE

Finally I have a tripod!! I've had a play around with these Portrait photos, let me know what you think of them. Do I keep with the portrait photos or landscape photos? Also, do you prefer only one or two photos or a few more like this one? Let me know please!!

This outfit was what I wore last Monday, I went with a few friends to the park just to soak up some sun! I have finally photographed my Levi Shorts I got in the sale last year. I've worn these SO many times this summer and just haven't got round to picturing them. I love the patchwork on the pockets, they're high waisted which I always want in a pair of shorts, and they safely cover up the bum. They're my ideal shorts and I'm pretty sure I'll continue wearing them until I no longer fit! I love this vest, the lace is so cute but I wish I got a size bigger as it's a bit tight to put on, I wouldn't wear it with anything not high waisted either because it's fairly cropped, but not cropped enough to be a crop top.. if that makes sense?

Instagram Update #7

day at the park // homemade paella // me and mike hough, my favourite man

lemonade // mum made pavlova and i thought it was instagram worthy // trying to be healthy and made a smoothie

We seem to have a theme here... food. A lot of it.. Not much has happened this week, we've got two new little fluffy things in our family for two weeks as we're looking after my mums friends dogs while she's away. That's three cavalier king charles running around the place!! I made the most gorgeous brownies a few weeks ago and I'm still not sure whether to post a recipe on them? I don't know if it would be a good move seeing as this is a fashion and beauty blog after all, not a food one! Let me know what you think.

Primark A/W 2013 - My Top Picks

Friday, 2 August 2013

I spent my time this morning scrolling through hundreds of pages of Primarks new Autumn Winter Collection 2013 Preview. I am definitely impressed. Primark have certainly upped their games recently, as well as raising their prices, but if the quality and fashion improves, I'm totally okay with paying that little extra. Above are a few peices that caught my eye.

Firstly. THOSE SHOES. Capitalism is necessary for such a beautiful pair of boots. They have the beautiful cut out style with an expensive looking peice of gold detailing on the heel. These could totally pass for a Zara or Topshop pair. Likewise, the denim pinafore is a perfect dupe for the Topshop one which hit the shops earlier this year, as well as the Boyfriend style coat. They had a few coats which all looked similar to those I've already seen on the highstreet so I would definitely suggest having a look in Primarche before splurging! I thought this Shirt was lovely, perfect for being smart or casual - I just hope it's not too sheer as I find a lot of Primarks blouses are meaning an extra layer is needed below to keep your modesty. I've seen a few Kimono's in the store recently although this one is definitely my favourite being paisley - of course. Finally is the tartan scarf, I wanted one of these last year so I'll certainly be purchasing this for only £4. While browsing their seemed to be a tartan trend, with tartan skirts, trousers and coats - it seems like it will be very popular this season.

What's your favourite pick?

CROP TOP - ASOS // SKIRT & BELT - PRIMARK // BAG - ALIEXPRESS

This is what I wore to a little meet up last Friday night with my girlies. I wanted to look nice and went against shorts as I knew I'd be outside. In the end I went for this maxi skirt. I got it from Primark in Nottingham as I knew it would be something I'd wear both in the day and night. It seems to be one of the wardrobe necessities. I've recently got out of the simple clothing habit where I have plain colours and no accesories however as much as I hated it, I knew this particular look was better being simple. I also have the premier of my new bag!! It cost me only £10 which is an absolute bargain!! I would definitely reccomend having a look on Aliexpress if you're on the hunt for bags/shoes or even clothes, you can find some real steals as long as you don't mind waiting a bit longer for them to arrive.
